RAE
GAITAN.

A commitment to the game.
A vision beyond the field.

My name is Amareysia Gaitan, but everyone calls me “Rae.” I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and softball has been a part of my life since I was five years old. I began playing travel softball at the 10U level, and after 12 years in the game, my passion continues to grow every time I step onto the field.

Softball has taught me so much more than how to compete. It has taught me the importance of resilience, discipline, teamwork, and character. I train five days a week because I believe there is always room to improve, but I also believe in enjoying the game, building meaningful relationships, and supporting the teammates and coaches around me.

As a power hitter and versatile infielder, I play third base, first base, and second base. I take pride in working hard on both sides of the ball, challenging myself to improve, and bringing a positive, competitive attitude to every practice and game. I believe adversity doesn't define who you are—how you respond to it does.

Academics are just as important to me as athletics. I'm passionate about helping others and seeking justice, which is why I hope to study Criminal Justice or Psychology in college. My long-term goal is to pursue a career as either a criminal justice attorney or a criminal psychologist.

Having lived in Las Vegas my entire life, I'm excited about the opportunity to experience new places, meet new people, and grow both academically and athletically at the collegiate level.

I'm looking for a college program where I can contribute as an athlete, grow as a student, build lasting relationships, and be part of a team that values hard work, accountability, and supporting one another.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, Coach. I look forward to the opportunity to connect!
